BOOKS BY JEREMY WALTON

THE TEST
a novel debut from an old hand

A blast from the past as 1970's motor sport heroes fight for recognition against establishment and gangland bad boys and girls, discovering salvation through a rock music god.

BACK IN BIMMERLAND..

Walton latest hardback big BMW book. Title’s not too snappy — BMW: Ultimate Drives Volume 1 — but cracking pictures and some amazing opportunities to cover 1937-1982 BMW icons compensate.

Ultimate Drives also fulfilled its launch promise with a coveted fifth place in Classic & Sports Cars Favourite Books annual review. Congrats to Coterie Publishing and ultra-enthusiast Julian Balme for a double achievement as their efforts also took fourth in this prestigious listing with the Ian Walker Racing title.

Anyway, the author wrote so much the Volume 1 bit was necessary as there’s post-1980 content to cover after this flight from prewar 328 and coupe/convertible cousins, to the 1980s first M-car, via the hand-built V8 503 and 507 families.

SALE! SALE! SALE!

END OF AN ERA: BOOK SALE

The closure of Haynes motor book publishing, outside of the manuals division, means that longtime Haynes author, Jeremy Walton, has acquired some of the last copies of his Audi quattro book in the Haynes' Great Cars series. This December 2007 title earned great reviews over a wider spread than usual for a motoring book because of the “Fire up the quattro!” connection with the 2008 BBC TV series, Life on Mars. Just coincidence, but we had a red original coupe on the cover and the reviewers went for it.

Published at £19.99 and widely offered on eBay today at prices up to  £29.75 (including postage), we will offer 15 of these Audi titles at £20, new, post paid, and signed by the author. These titles will be offered through eBay, page trading name lollyberger. The remainder are already reserved for a May function with the UK-based quattro Owners Club at Donington Classics racing weekend in May.

PS: We also have three of the standard edition Coterie Publishing Lotus Esprit titles that  Jeremy W wrote for March 2006 publication. At press time none were offered on eBay, but we found two new copies on Amazon at prices from £82.79 to £101.31 post paid.

These are available from Walton direct — again new copies — signed and post paid at £65. Contact us directly HERE, before they also go through the eBay system.
